Shelter and Grand Designs Live believe everyone should have a place they can call home.

Grand Design Live, London 2009 is proud to be supporting Shelter to help those in bad housing throughout the UK.

Grand Designs Live is the UK’s number one consumer event for design and inspiration for the home. Based on the hugely successful Channel 4 TV series – presented by Kevin McCloud – Grand Designs Live remains the only contemporary design exhibition offering the chance to buy, build and furnish a home, all under one roof.

Shelter will be present at the exhibition held between 25 April and 4 May at London’s Excel centre, selling products and promoting awareness.

Grand Designs Live visitors will be making donations to Shelter when purchasing tickets and at the event.

Shelter will be playing a big part at the Grand Design Awards, which will be held during Grand Designs Live. They demonstrate design excellence and innovation, and showcase the determination, ambition and a commitment demonstrated by architects, designers, manufacturers, retailers, self-builders and homeowners.

Shelter’s chief executive Adam Sampson will be attending the awards, speaking on the stage alongside Grand Designs presenter Kevin McCloud. There will also be a raffle held in aid of Shelter on the night.

In addition to this there will be a donation from each application to the Grand Design Awards and the sale of the official awards ceremony tickets.
