In 2003 Masterfoods, makers of world famous chocolate brands, teamed up with Shelter on Chocollect, a major Cause Related Marketing campaign across Mars, Snickers, Twix, Maltesers and Bounty.

Over half a million participants registered online and by SMS Text to collect their code numbers from the inside of promotional packs and earn their Chocollect credits. The credits were exchanged for prizes or donated to Shelter, raising £50,000 for Shelter's vital services.

Masterfoods chose Shelter as its partner because of our exceptionally high profile with young adults, the target market of the promotion. Homelessness is a cause that really matters to this age group who are keen to support other young people facing the problems of homelessness and bad housing.
