fortunate and I want to pass on some of my good luck to people who
aren’t so fortunate. So I thought I would give you an assurance that
even when I'm no longer here, my support for the cause I really care
about will still be hard at work'.

Why leave a gift to Shelter?
For more than forty years, ever since the film Cathy Come Home created a wave of public indignation about the human cost of homelessness, Shelter has been working to give everyone the right to live in a decent, safe and affordable home.
We have achieved much in that time. But there is a lot more to do. By leaving a gift to Shelter in your Will you can help us to build a better future for people who desperately need a home.
How your gift will help
With your support we can:
- ensure that Shelter continues to provide vital help to everyone who needs it through our network of housing aid centres and our free national housing advice helpline
- continue to run housing support projects to help families, children and older people
- help strengthen the rights of homeless and badly housed people
- ensure that Shelter continues to campaign for laws and policies to find new and better solutions to homelessness.
Leaving a legacy will cost you nothing today. But it will make a difference to the lives of future generations.
