Racist harassment can have a devastating effect on families and individuals. Racist incidents are often repeated, and can escalate from a minor nuisance to a serious crime. This section explains what racial harassment is, and what you can do to tackle it. It also explains your rights if you become homeless as a result of racial harassment.
Dealing with racial harassment
If you have been racially abused or harassed, there are a number of options open to you, depending on the circumstances. This page explains what racial harassment is and how you can deal with it.
Racial harassment and homelessness
If you become homeless due to racial harassment, you can get help from your local council, or from a council in another area. You don't have to be roofless to be homeless - you may be staying with friends and family, or living in a refuge, hostel or bed and breakfast hotel.
