This section looks at common problems you may encounter living on a mobile home site, including what you can do if you aren't happy with conditions on the site or the supply of services and how to deal with harassment or nuisance neighbours.

Improving park conditions

If you live on a protected site and are not happy with the conditions on your site and feel they should be improved, there are several courses of action open to you, whether you own or rent your mobile home.

Utilities

Site owners usually have to supply mobile home owners or occupiers with electricity, gas and water and sewerage services in order to fulfill the conditions of their site licence. This page looks at common problems that can occur.

Harassment by site owners

It is a criminal offence for the site owner to harass or evict by force a tenant who rents a mobile home or a mobile home pitch.

Nuisance neighbours

Living in a small community like a mobile home park requires a certain amount of compromise. However, if you have a serious problem with your neighbours, you may need to take action.
