Until January 2007, if you needed to move to a different council area within the UK, you would have applied to the HOMES Mobility Scheme. However, this scheme has now been discontinued. To find out how to move to a new area, contact your council or housing association.

You can find contact details for your local council in the Advice Services Directory or via your council's website. You can find contact details for housing associations at the SFHA website.
