Kevin Bridges donates show proceeds to Shelter Scotland

31 August 2010

Kevin Bridges, one of Scotland’s top comedians, has very kindly donated proceeds, shared with Waverely Care, from his gig at the Pleasance Courtyard on August 29 to Shelter Scotland. Two additional stand up comedians, Marlon Davis and Micky Flanangan also kindly supported the event.

Graeme Brown, Director of Shelter Scotland, the homelessness and housing charity, said:

“Too many people in Scotland are still losing their homes and we are here to help. Our helpline provides free advice to those facing homelessness or struggling to keep their home. We would like to thank Kevin for his support and the funds he has raised will most definitely help us to continue to provide support to people facing housing issues.”

Kevin Bridges said:

“Homelessness is a serious issue and I believe that everyone has the right to a home and comfortable and safe place to stay.

“I’m delighted to support the good work that they do by raising funds for them.”
