Shoppers tempted again by M&S Christmas Food-on-the-Move in aid of Shelter Scotland
18 November 2010
Shoppers at Marks and Spencer are once again being tempted to give in to the non-guilty pleasure of indulging in an irresistible range of Christmas-themed lunch break food.
From every purchase made out of this year’s Christmas range of M&S Food-on- the-Move - in stores now - 5% will be donated to housing and homelessness charity, Shelter Scotland.
This marks the sixth year for the partnership which has so far raised nearly £3.8million across the UK for the charity’s vital work helping homeless people and badly housed families.
The mouth-watering new range of festive drinks and snacks includes everyone’s favourite, the Turkey Feast Sandwich, along with Roast Gammon Crisps, Christmas Cheesecake and Plum and Red Grape Juice - all you need for the perfect festive lunch break.
Television presenter and Celebrity Masterchef winner, Jayne Middlemiss, says:
“I’m a real foodie so I love M&S’ Food-on-the-Move range, and this year’s Christmas specials are especially delicious. More importantly though, each purchase will help Shelter Scotland support families whose only wish this Christmas is for a stable and decent home to call their own.”
Graeme Brown, director of Shelter Scotland, says:
“Every two minutes someone faces the nightmare of losing their home – it really can happen to anyone. This is a sobering thought at any time of year, but particularly at Christmas.
"The generosity of M&S customers over the past six years has enabled us to help thousands of families in housing need, but many more desperately need your support.
“By treating yourself to a festive lunch from the Food-on-the-Move range you’ll be helping Shelter Scotland to help those next to face homelessness.”
Mike Barry, Head of Sustainable Business at M&S, says:
“This is the sixth year that we have worked with Shelter Scotland in the run-up to Christmas and our customers are always hugely supportive of the partnership. Get in stores now to enjoy our seasonal specials and you’ll be helping to make a real difference to families across the country.”
Products are available now at Marks & Spencer stores across the UK. A selection of charity Christmas cards is also available with 10% of proceeds going to Shelter Scotland.
