Shelter Scotland statement regarding fire in its Edinburgh office
2 May 2011
Graeme Brown, director of Shelter Scotland, says: "A fire at our Scotiabank House office in Edinburgh has caused significant damage. Thankfully, none of our staff were in the premises at the time and no-one has been hurt. The cause of the fire is being investigated and until that process is complete we have no more information to add. "As a result, our drop-in service at Scotiabank is temporarily suspended. However, people can still use our free helpline on 0808 800 4444 or access our Get Advice pages at www.shelter.org.uk. "All other services are operational."
