Campaign of the Year award for Shelter Scotland
20 June 2008
Shelter Scotland's campaign calling for 30,000 homes to be built by 2012 has won an award at a recent national charity event.
At the TFN Awards, the campaign was praised for its high public profile and level of impact with MSPs across Scotland. A range of activities took place over the year to publicise the call for more homes to be built, including 'the Shelter living room' at summer music festivals, events targeted at MSPs and local councillors, and mailing stickers for campaigners to use during the election campaign.
Over 30,000 signatures were gathered from across the country at festivals and other events. These were presented to Finance Secretary, John Swinney in September.
