Volunteer for the Shelter Legal content review board
1 October 2008

Housing and homelessness affects so many of us in different ways. Accurate advice and information is crucial in tackling these issues directly. We're looking for volunteers with a broad knowledge of the law, legal rights or the UK benefits system to join the content review board for Shelter Legal, Scotland's online housing law resource.
Do you want to help us to bridge the gap and raise the standards of housing and homelessness advice provision across Scotland?
Could you spare a couple of hours a month to donate your legal skills and experience to Shelter?
Then Shelter Legal needs you!
Shelter Legal keeps hundreds of advisers and practitioners up to date with the latest changes in legislation relating to housing and homeless. The Legal website explains the law in language that is clear and easy to understand and helps people working in housing and homelessness do their jobs as efficiently and effectively as possible.
The Shelter Legal content review board is a new initiative launched to ensure that our information is as helpful as possible and truly meets the needs of its professional audience.
Volunteering for the board is not an onerous time commitment and there are no meetings involved. To find out more about what the board entails, visit our volunteering section. If you're not familiar with Legal and would like to check it out, you can sign up for a free 10-day trial here.
