Dundee store giving back to local groups
28 September 2010

Our Dundee shop on Perth Road is calling on all local groups to donate goods and raise money for themselves at the same time.
Local organisations are being encouraged to donate clothing, accessories and household items to Shelter Scotland’s shop in Dundee in return for payment per kilo. The funds will go back into supporting the local group which made the donation.

“We are delighted with the response so far from local clubs and groups. The scheme is a great way for local organisations to benefit while supporting a good cause at the same time.
“We are always looking for more donations to help raise funds for the important work Shelter Scotland does to help people facing housing issues or homelessness. We’d like to call on all local residents to come by with their unwanted goods and snap up a bargain from our shop at the same time.”
If you are part of a local group interested in raising funds at the same time as giving to another worthwhile cause, please call the Dundee Shelter Scotland’s shop collection service on 07926000676 to arrange collection sacks for your group.
The collection service will arrange a time to pick up the donations and weigh the bags. You will be given a receipt, which you can redeem at the Shelter Scotland shop.
