In May 2006, Colin and Justin, Edith Bowman and Sharleen Spiteri joined forces to launch Shelter Scotland's home is... campaign to find out what home means to the people of Scotland.

Since the launch, over 5,000 music lovers, home improvement enthusiasts, Shelter clients, MSPs, students, commuters, Big Issue readers and celebrities have all told us what home means to them.
On Sunday 7 January, at IKEA in Glasgow, Collette Finlayson was the 5,000th person to tell us what home means and the lucky winner of lunch with Colin and Justin.

Shelter's home is... campaign is aimed at keeping the pressure on Scotland's politicians to stick to their promise that everyone should have a home by 2012. A selection of 1,500 quotes have been printed onto a large house which we presented to Communities Minister, Rhona Brankin outside the Scottish Parliament.
On seeing all the quotes, Ms Brankin said: 'Housing is a basic right and one the Executive is committed to delivering for everyone in Scotland. Shelter Scotland's home is... campaign has captured the very sentiments behind Scotland's landmark homelessness legislation and no one should doubt Scottish Ministers' determination to meet the 2012 pledge. I welcome this opportunity to read the home is... quotes of people from across Scotland and to add my own.'

The campaign has been supported by Shelter Shops, IKEA, the Ideal Home Show, Capability Scotland, Arthritis Care and the YWCA and has received masses of media coverage in newspapers, magazines and on the radio.
