Summary
Shelter supports the aims of the Bill: to improve the value of social housing and safeguard its supply. In this submission we have focused on how homeless households are housed and supported to maintain tenancies. We have included a further set of proposals which we believe strengthen the Bill. The text in this paper is a brief summary of our suggestions. We have more detailed policy papers which amplify the arguments.
