The last decade has seen a growing trend for adding new conditions that people must meet to receive benefits. This report examines the impact of extended benefit conditions on three groups: disabled people, lone parents and antisocial tenants.

'Sanctions and Sweeteners' is an IPPR report part funded by Shelter. Other project partners were the Chartered Institute for Housing, Castle Vale Housing Action Trust, The Disability Rights Commission, Leonard Cheshire, London and Quadrant Housing Trust and The National Housing Federation.
