Introduction to Security of Tenure
A one-day course suitable for housing workers or people interested in housing issues, who have little or no experience in this area of housing legislation. It is ideal as part of an induction process.

Aims
The course aims to:
- provide a comprehensive introduction to the various tenancies operating in the private and public sectors
- to provide participants with the legal knowledge and practical skills required to determine housing status.
Course
The course content includes:
- A brief history and overview of tenancy law in Scotland.
- Identifying a lease.
- The main types of tenancy and the relative security associated with them.
- Assured tenancies and repossession.
- Scottish secure tenancies and repossession.
- Harassment and illegal eviction.
