In the Scottish Parliament elections last May the Scottish Government pledged to build 6,000 socially rented homes each year for the lifetime of the Parliament. That’s 30,000 much needed council and housing association homes for people to rent.
Shelter Scotland supports the building of new social housing and we’re going to be campaigning in the coming months in towns and cities across Scotland to make sure the new homes are built. With 160,000 households on local authority housing waiting lists please sign up to our campaign and show your support for more much needed council and housing association homes in Scotland.
