Donate an amount of your choice to support a homeless child this Christmas.

Do something to give homeless children across Scotland a Christmas to remember, and become a Social Media Santa.

This Christmas there are over 6,000 children in Scotland don’t have a permanent place to call home. Shelter Scotland supports hundreds of children – aged 6 months to 16 years – throughout the country and you can help give them a Christmas to remember by being one of our Social Media Santas.

If you’d like to take part then we’re asking that you buy a new present for one of the children that we help. We help families with children of all ages, from babies right up to teenagers, and of course the parents themselves. Whether you’d prefer to donate a toy for a child, or a clothes or department store voucher to help the whole family, we’re really grateful for your contribution.

Social Media Santa gifts should be sent or dropped in to our Edinburgh Community Hub (address below).

Share the Social Media Santa love – download one of our graphics or take a photo of your gift and share on social media using the hashtag #socialmediasanta.

Please send us gifts unwrapped as we need to see the gifts so we can make sure everyone is given a gift that’s right for them. We’d also appreciate if you could include your contact details so that we can say thanks for getting involved.

Please send gifts unwrapped to:

Shelter Scotland
Scotiabank House
6 South Charlotte Street

Presents must be received by 30th November to ensure distribution before Christmas.

And don’t forget to sign-up to become a Shelter Scotland supporter in our 50th year, to find out more ways you can get involved with our work and campaigns.

In the event that we receive more gifts than children in our services, any excess will be distributed through our partners in Scotland also supporting vulnerable children.
