Health and safety

Sleeping on the streets can be dangerous and should only be done as a last resort if no other option is available. This page has practical advice on what you can do if you have no choice but to sleep on the streets. It includes information on health care, veterinary treatment for your pets and keeping in touch with friends and family.

Benefits and working

Even if you don't have a fixed address, you still have a right to claim benefits. Advice on benefits is available from specialist organisations. In addition, some agencies can help you to find work or get on a training course.

Moving off the streets

This section gives information about getting off the streets and into supported or independent accommodation.

Where to go for help
