The project provides impartial and independent information, advice and advocacy in East Lothian. The three aims of our work are:
To prevent homelessness and address housing issues by providing information, advice, advocacy and training
To alleviate homelessness and to help find sustainable solutions through information, advice and advocacy
To reduce future homelessness and housing issues through involvement in the strategic development of housing services within East Lothian.
What the project does
The project involves working directly with clients, whilst secondary services provide consultancy (information or advice) to agencies or individuals who are in contact with clients.
Our East Lothian Project also works in partnership with East Lothian Council in the development of strategy and services by reflecting the needs of service users.
The Project team consists of two housing advisers, one part-time administrator and a Gypsy Traveller Project support worker.
