The housing and homelessness charity

Shelter Scotland / England

Raise money at school

Since Shelter was founded in 1966, we’ve helped millions of people facing homelessness or bad housing. But there are still over  100,000 children homeless in Britain.

That’s why we need your help to make this our biggest fundraising  year yet, so we can help more children and families find a safe place to  call home.

The 50p Challenge

All we ask is that every child in your school raises at least 50p  throughout the year. But we also hope they’ll encourage their friends to  each donate 50p – and their mums, dads, grannies, grandads, neighbours,  teachers... Together we can make a big difference to homeless families!

As a huge thank you, we’ve got loads of useful things for you  and your school. These include tailored lesson plans, posters and  activities to help children develop new skills – and have fun.

Don’t forget to check back with us at the start of each term. We’ll keep adding new resources and fundraising ideas throughout the year.

We’ve got plenty to get you started - take a look.

How should I pay in the money we raise?

Please send a cheque made payable to ‘Shelter Scotland’ to Scotiabank House, 6 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh EH2 4AW. If you prefer to use a bank transfer, send the money  to account number 01167206, and sort code 30-00-02.

We’ve already raised money for Shelter
