Shelter Scotland's initial response to the draft Budget for 2010-11.

Summary

The budget for affordable housing investment has been the single biggest loser in the draft 2010-11 budget, falling by 30 per cent between 2009-10 and 2010-11. As it stands, the Scottish Government has missed a major opportunity to sustain investment in homes and jobs, at a time when the market is weak. Shelter urges MSPs to re-seize that opportunity as the Budget goes through Parliament.
