We're proud to have been nominated as one of HSBC UK’s national charity partners since 2018. Shelter, Shelter Scotland and HSBC UK are working in partnership to help people and families across the UK build financial resilience – support that can help make a difference when the unexpected happens.
Building on the impact of HSBC UK's ground-breaking No Fixed Address bank account service, our partnership has expanded to support people in immediate crisis and build a more secure future for those at risk.
With HSBC UK's support, we have enhanced existing services as well as piloted new approaches to continuously improve and innovate our service offering. This includes funding for emergency help measures, improved digital advice and in-person services.
The partnership aims to do more to stop people from becoming homeless in the first place. Early intervention is key. HSBC UK funding has helped us create and improve online pages related to financial guidance and housing insecurity.
With HSBC UK's continued support, Shelter and Shelter Scotland will be able to help people at risk of losing their home during the cost of living crisis and build financial resilience in local communities to help prevent homelessness.
