Set up your fundraiser

Is crafting your thing? Turn your hobby into a fundraiser for Shelter Scotland by bringing your friends, family and community together to learn new skills.

Card making, painting, knitting, candle or soap making – whatever your interests are, you can use your skills in the fight for home.

How it works

  1. Pick a project and set your date, time and location. You could host your crafting session over Zoom or in person.

  2. Set up your fundraising page on JustGiving.

  3. Spread the word. You could set up a Facebook event or group, send out
homemade invitations, share on a WhatsApp group or let people know in person.

  4. Think about what supplies you might need, how long each step will take and how you will set up your space.

  5. Get crafting!

Help fund the fight for home

Last year we gave support through our helpline and webchat to almost 16,800 people facing homelessness or experiencing unfit and unsafe housing.

We believe home is a human right. We work in communities to understand the problem and change the system. And we campaign to fight for change at the top.

When you fundraise for Shelter Scotland, you're defending the right to a safe home. Because home is everything.
