Support our work through your charitable trust or foundation
Our partnerships with charitable trusts, foundations, and institutional funders drive positive change for the tens of thousands of people affected by the housing emergency in Scotland.
Partner with us
Our like-minded partners join us to bring about genuine change in Scotland, at a local and national level. Many of our boldest and most successful projects have been possible thanks to the support of independent grantmakers.
You can choose to support Shelter Scotland as a whole or work with us on a special project. We're eager to hear from grantmakers with a particular interest in:
our community capacity building work - based in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow
our legal support services
our free national helpline service
our campaigning and advocacy work
Our recent funding partners
We're grateful for the incredible impact all of our partnerships have on our ability to amplify the voices of people affected by the housing emergency, challenge systemic failures and strengthen confidence in our communities.
Postcode Lottery

Shelter Scotland receives vital flexible funding from the Postcode Lottery and its Postcode Support Trust.
This supports activities that make the biggest difference - including our campaigning work, which mobilises thousands of people affected by the housing emergency to speak truth to power every year.
National Lottery Community Fund

Our Inspiring Action project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
This 3 year project supports families across Glasgow to build resilience, and ensures families’ experiences influence real change in housing practice and decision‑making across Glasgow.
Robertson Trust

Working in partnership with Fife Gingerbread, funding from the Robertson Trust supports us to work directly with families in Fife, Glasgow and Edinburgh, to uncover systemic failures in temporary accommodation and co‑design practical improvements to local authority practice.
The Robertson Trust’s support enables us to ensure the voices of children and parents shape a future where every child has a safe, secure home.
The Corra Foundation

The Corra Foundation supports Shelter Scotland's partnership with Legal Services Agency and the creation of the Homelessness Justice Legal Collaboration.
This enables social justice lawyers, frontline organisations and communities to challenge systemic homelessness rights breaches and ensure that our progressive housing rights are upheld.
W M Sword Charitable Trust

Support from the W M Sword Trust helps our front-line staff in Dundee to provide vital housing advice, advocacy, and practical support to individuals and families facing homelessness or unsafe housing in the Dundee area.
Thanks to the W M Sword's generous support, we can continue working towards a future where everyone in Dundee has a safe, secure, and affordable place to call home.
The Northwood Charitable Trust
Support from the Northwood Charitable Trust helps us strengthen the capacity of local organisations across Dundee, Angus, Fife and Perth & Kinross to provide rights‑based housing advice in their communities.
This project trains frontline staff and volunteers to identify housing issues early, understand legal rights, and take confident action on behalf of the people they support.
