What web browser to use
A web browser is the application your computer uses to access websites.
Moodle recommends using the latest version of one of the following browsers:
Chrome
Firefox
Microsoft Edge
Check your browser settings
Our training modules use pop-ups to open and download materials.
Many browsers, devices, and networks block pop-ups by default, so check that your browser is enabled for pop ups.
How to enable pop-ups
To enable pop-ups in Chrome:
click the menu in the top right
select settings
go to advanced
choose content settings
select pop-ups and redirects
allow pop-ups
add learning.scotland.shelter.org.uk to the allowed sites list
To enable pop-ups on Firefox:
click the Firefox menu button
select options
go to content
allow pop-up windows or select exceptions
add learning.scotland.shelter.org.uk to the exceptions list
click close
To enable pop ups in Microsoft Edge:
click the tools button
select internet options
go to privacy
choose settings within the pop-up blocker area
add learning.scotland.shelter.org.uk to the exceptions list
click close
Check other settings
Check that the following settings are also enabled:
enable cookies
enable JavaScript
Troubleshooting tips
Try clearing your browser history and cache if something is not displaying correctly or your screen is blank or frozen.
