They have a legal duty to help you and must offer you temporary accommodation if you need it.

Shelter Scotland may be able to help if either:

  • the council has not accepted your homeless application

  • the council has not given you temporary accommodation

We may be able to help if you have contacted a council to make a homelessness application and either:

  • they have not accepted it

  • they have not given you temporary accommodation

We may also be able to help if someone in your home is vulnerable or at risk of harm.
