How we can help
We do not offer accommodation. We can give you advice on your rights and options if:
you have nowhere safe to stay
you’re sofa surfing or staying somewhere temporary
you’re being evicted or forced out of your home
staying in your home is a risk to your health or safety
you or someone you live with is vulnerable
the council has refused to help you
We can only help if you're in Scotland. Contact Shelter England or Shelter Cymru if you're in England or Wales.
Emergency help from the council
You can contact the council at any time of day or night. They have a legal duty to help you. Find your council's homeless team.
Check our advice if the council refuses to help you.
