Eviction from an assured or short assured tenancy

There's a strict legal process your landlord must follow to evict you. They must send you valid notices and get an eviction order from a tribunal if you do not leave.

Use this guide to check your eviction rights if you have an assured or short assured tenancy.

You'll usually have one of these tenancy types if you rent from a private landlord or letting agency, and you moved in between 2 January 1989 and 30 November 2017.
