Gypsy and Traveller communities and permanent housing
Some members of Gypsy and Traveller communities choose to apply for permanent housing. Others may be forced to do so if there is no site available, if their vehicle is in serious disrepair or there is a member of the family who is sick.
Some members of Gypsy and Traveller communities aim to combine permanent housing with regular periods spent travelling, for example, during part of the summer. Access to housing will be the same as for any other applicant.
See the section on Housing options for more information.
