Briefing for Stage 3 Debate of the Housing (Scotland) Bill on 25 June 2014

Shelter Scotland supports the aims of the Housing (Scotland) Bill ‘to enhance housing conditions, retain much needed social housing for the people of Scotland and safeguard social and private tenants’ and welcomes many of the measures in the Bill. All legislative changes must help to ensure that the housing sector functions as effectively as possible so that everyone has a safe, secure and affordable home and the right to a fair, transparent service. This briefing outlines the amendments we support those we have concerns about.
