Draft guidance on the use of temporary accommodation and framework for a strategy
Temporary accommodation is the single biggest part of the homelessness services provided by local authorities and meeting these duties continue to be among the hardest for councils to achieve. The use of temporary accommodation has doubled in that last five years and yet local authorities are still not meeting the requirements of the Housing (Scotland) Act, 2001.
