Funding the Homelessness Service
The study looks at the various trends and sources of funding for homelessness services across local authorities.
It has indicated that LA expenditure into homelessness services have been increasing, driven mainly by temporary accommodation, but that LAs have also supported and invested in advice, information and prevention services in a period of public sector cuts.
The report looks at the overall objectives for a homelessness service for homeless households and local and central government.
Finally, recommendations are made to the Scottish Government on how to find a sustainable funding solution going forward.
