Letter to UK Government on No Recourse to Public Funds
This letter was sent from the chair of the Private Rented Sector Resilience Group to the UK Government. The letter sets out two key asks to address concerns that group members have about non-EU national's ability to sustain their tenancies during the pandemic.
This letter asks the UK Government to suspend the No Recourse to Public Funds conditions and habitual residence test for at least the duration that the restrictions remain in place. The second ask is that the UK Government reverses its decision to make rough sleeping grounds for refusing or cancelling someone's right to remain in the UK.
