Letter to UK Government on welfare
This letter was sent from the chair of the Private Rented Sector Resilience Group to the UK Government. The letter sets out three key welfare asks that group members consider are needed in order to support people whose incomes have been negatively impacted by the pandemic and help them to sustain their tenancies.
The three asks set out in this letter are: to make the £20 uplift to Universal Credit permanent, to keep Local Housing Allowance in line with rents, and to lift the Benefit Cap.
