This Q&A explains why we are taking direct action against Glasgow City Council's practice of gatekeeping.

We are protesting the fact that, for several years, Glasgow City Council (GCC) has been breaking the law and not delivering on its legal duty to house homeless people in the city. The latest official statistics show that last year Glasgow City Council failed to provide temporary accommodation over 3,000 times to households that needed housing help and to whom they had a statutory duty. This is simply wrong and it is unlawful.
