MSP Briefing - Programme for Government 2020

This briefing paper outlines our key asks ahead of the 2020 Programme for Government being announced in the Scottish Parliament on 1st September 2020. This briefing paper calls on the Scottish Government to announce new measures to protect renters and to tackle rent arrears as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic; for the previously announced changes to the Unsuitable Accommodation Order to be implemented as promised; and for a new ambitious affordable and social house building programme to be announced in order to reduce housing need, tackle child poverty and create jobs.
