Our four-year plan to end the housing emergency
Scotland is in a housing emergency. But home is everything and we know what’s needed to turn the housing emergency around. So, thanks to your support, we’ve laid the plans needed to bring about change in the next four years.
Homelessness is at record levels. People’s housing rights are being breached every day. A generation of children is trapped in temporary accommodation. Black people and People of Colour are disproportionately failed. Finding a safe and affordable home in Scotland is more out of reach than ever.
10,180 children trapped in temporary accommodation
15,693 social homes are needed each year just to stop homelessness from rising
19% fewer social homes being built
Your unstoppable campaigning has moved the housing emergency to the top of the political agenda. Now we need to keep building on that momentum, so we can bring about real, long-lasting change.
demand and secure a new generation of social homes
strengthen and enforce the right to a safe home for all
build a coalition to secure long-lasting change
By 2029, everyone facing homelessness will be treated with dignity and respect.
Public bodies will be anti-racist and anti-discriminatory. The supply of social homes will be increasing each year. The number of children in temporary accommodation will be falling fast.
Together, we will end this housing emergency. Thank you for being with us to help make it happen.
