A record breaking 10,360 children are trapped in often unsuitable temporary accommodation, today’s figures from the Scottish Government has revealed. The number of children in temporary homes has risen for the 10th year* as figures detail the stark reality for thousands of families across Scotland. The statistics cover from 1 April 2024 to 30 September 2024 - during which time the Scottish Government declared a national housing emergency.
