Equality Act 2010
Most provisions of the Equality Act 2010 came into force on 1 October 2010.
This Act consolidated the various pieces of anti-discrimination legislation that existed before 1 October 2010, such as the Race Relations Act 1976, the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and the Sex Discrimination Act 1975. Any complaint of discrimination should now be made under the 2010 Act.
