Shelter Scotland consultation response: overcrowding statutory notices in private rented accommodation

Our response to the Scottish Government's consultation on Overcrowding Statutory Notices.

Shelter Scotland is concerned that the use of overcrowding statutory notices (OSNs) may have an adverse impact on vulnerable households and urges local authorities who choose to use OSNs to make close links between homelessness teams and teams responsible for issuing OSNs.
