Booking and terms

Complete the online booking form for your chosen course.

You will receive an automatic email confirming that we have received the booking request. We will then send you another email with an invoice and further information.

Your booking should only be deemed as accepted when you receive the confirmation and invoice email from us.

Once purchase has been completed through the booking process, a contract will be implied.

Fees, invoicing and payment

On receipt of your booking form, we will email you an invoice as a pdf attachment. Payment is by BACs only.

All payments must be made within 30 days of receiving the invoice.

Late payment may result in access to online training courses being revoked and your account will be suspended until payment is settled.

Access to online training courses before full receipt of payment will be at the discretion of the Shelter Scotland Training Team.

If you have not received a booking confirmation and invoice within 5 working days, please email trainingscotland@shelter.org.uk.

Course fees cannot be altered during this agreement unless superseded by a new agreement.

Changes and cancellations

Customer cancellation

Cancellations should be made via email to trainingscotland@shelter.org.uk.

Cancellations after payment will incur 100% of the cost, except in exceptional circumstances.

Changes to training courses

If Shelter Scotland Training must cancel or re-schedule a course, we will notify you as soon as possible and reschedule to a suitable date.

Technical issues

There will be no refunds if a technical failure or email issue at a learner's home or workplace prevents access to a course.

If the technical problem is due to our error, we will offer you a place on the next workshop.

Adding or amending learners

Please contact us if you wish to change the learners you have booked. Changes to learners can be made up until the course start date. Email us at trainingscotland@shelter.org.uk.

If you wish to add additional learners, please complete the booking form online.

After the course start date, course places cannot be transferred to other learners.

Housing law advice courses

The purchaser must provide the full name and email address of each learner at least 10 working days before the course start date. Changes to the learners can be made up until the course start date.

Once payment has been received, learners will be enrolled on their chosen course. Before the course start date, they will receive an enrolment email containing their log in details and link to the training website.

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact us if a learner does not receive the required login information at least 5 days before the start of the course.

The purchaser should notify Shelter Scotland training at least 3 weeks before the course start date of any learners who may require any special assessment arrangements. An assessor from Shelter Scotland training team will speak with the learner and agree these arrangements. It is not Shelter Scotland's responsibility to have special arrangements in place if we are not told before the course start date that arrangements are required.

Shelter Scotland reserve the right to remove any learner from a course where it can be demonstrated that the learner has not shown commitment to the course or evidence of plagiarism is found. This would only occur after some contact and communication with the learner and their organisation as appropriate.

If a learner enrols again at a later date, the full cost of the training course will be met by the individual or their organisation.

Please contact us at trainingscotland@shelter.org.uk to withdraw from the Housing Law Advice course. Once withdrawn, you will no longer have access to the course.
