We must urgently help people facing housing issues because of coronavirus

An increase in cost

We’re working hard to increase the number of advisers able to deliver vital advice by telephone and on our online web chat – all so we can continue to be there for everyone who needs us.

To be able to act quickly to meet the needs of households facing crisis, we’ve launched an emergency appeal. It will cost us £56.95 per month, per expert adviser for the software we need to answer the increasing number of urgent calls and online queries.

It’s only because of people like you that we can be there to meet the growing demand for our services in the weeks and months ahead.

An increase in calls

Our helpline has already seen a sharp rise in calls for help from people across the UK who are facing discrimination and housing issues because of COVID-19.

While we manage the response on the ground, we are also continuously pushing for protection for renters and homeless families in these unprecedented times.

With around 12 million people in the UK currently renting privately, one million people on zero-hours contracts, and many more in unstable employment, this is causing a huge amount of stress to many households. But we will do everything we can to help those most at risk to keep their homes.

Please donate to our emergency appeal. Together, we can help as many people as possible keep their homes safe.
