Scottish Welfare Fund
The Scottish Welfare Fund provides help for vulnerable people on low incomes through the provision of community care grants and crisis grants. It is delivered by local councils and replaces some of the elements of the social fund.
Both community care grants and crisis grants may be available to anyone aged 16 or over and on a low income. An applicant does not have to be in receipt of benefits to apply.
Applications must be made directly to the local authority. See the Scottish government pages Scottish welfare fund - apply to see how to apply in each local authority area.
