Exceptions to the Repairing Standard
The repairing standard must be met by all properties rented in the private sector. The legislation classes the following properties as exempt. [1]
a Scottish secure or short Scottish secure tenancy
an agricultural tenancy
a crofting tenancy
a tenancy of a house let for a holiday which does not exceed 31 days.
a mobile home. [2]
