Help inform our work

People with lived experience of homelessness or bad housing can really help us improve the support and advice we provide. We currently have two groups in our Glasgow and Dundee community hubs. These groups tend get involved in a wide range of work including:

  • giving their opinions on a wide range of topics related to housing advice to support Shelter Scotland’s advice, policy, legal and marketing teams.
  • sharing their stories to help us raise awareness through the media, social media and presentations with community partners.
  • joining us at Scottish parliament, speaking to MSPs about their experiences.

As a volunteer, you can decide what you’re comfortable doing and how much time you can spare.
