Evictions by social landlords in Scotland 2016-2018
This report follows on from a 2017 report into social sector evictions from Shelter Scotland and focuses primarily on eviction actions by social landlords in 2017/18, with an analysis of trends from the last five years. The report concludes by making a series of recommendations to reduce the use of evictions across Scotland, building on good practice from the sector.

Shelter Scotland supports the principles of Housing First and believes that it has a role to play in alleviating multiple and complex needs homelessness. However, we have several questions about the planned delivery and also how it can be delivered at scale across Scotland.

Response to Scottish Government Consultation on Local Connection and Intentionality
Shelter Scotland welcomes the opportunity to respond to this consultation on local connection and intentionality. Both local connection and intentionality were considered by the Homelessness Taskforce in the early 2000s and the groundwork was laid for these provisions to be suspended or removed, but no action has been taken since.
