Housing Benefit for care leavers and young people in care
Social work departments are liable to provide maintenance and accommodation for compulsorily supported care leavers. [1] 16 or 17 year olds who have left care and are compulsorily supported cannot claim Housing Benefit from 1 April 2004. [2]
